Oshi no Ko Season 2 will finally premiere on July 3, and the popular supernatural mystery anime has released a new main trailer and revealed how many episodes the second season will consist of. The anime is one of the major franchises returning for new episodes in the Summer 2024 anime season, and it's adapting a major new arc from Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's best-selling manga series. As previewed in the trailer, it was also revealed that Hitsujibungaku‘s burning is the new ending theme song for Oshi no Ko anime.
With Oshi no Ko Season 2 debuting on July 3 in Japan, the anime is getting ready for its premiere by previewing its home media release plans in the future. According to the home media release listing for the second season, there will be a total of 13 episodes released across six Blu-ray and DVD launches in Japan. This means that the new anime season will only be running for a single cour and ending into the Fall 2024 season. Of course, given the popularity of the manga series and anime adaptation, the series will likely be renewed for a third season and beyond.
It was previously announced that the sequel's opening song will be Fatale by GEMN, a new unit made up of Kento Nakajima and Tatsuya Kitani. The duo performed the opening song for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Studio Doga Kobo is returning to animate Oshi no Ko Season 2. HIDIVE, which streamed the first season of the anime last year, will also simulcast the second season.
The main Japanese voice cast of Oshi no Ko includes:
Takeo Otsuka as Aqua
Yurie Igoma as Ruby
Megumi Han as Arima Kana
Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa
Rumi Okubo as MEMcho
