The first teaser for Nine to Six has been released, and SBS is using it to drop a workaholic deputy manager into the middle of two very different kinds of attention. Park Min-young's Kang Yi-ji runs her workdays by the book, and the men around her are already finding ways to interrupt the schedule.

The teaser opens on Kang Yi-ji's sharp corporate life, where her colleagues describe her as a very demanding person. Her reply sums up how she operates: "I will organize it according to the manual," a line that matches the teaser poster's tagline, "Perfect score in work skills, love skills unknown."

Into that routine steps Han Sun-woo, played by Yook Sung-jae, who starts with something simple: bread, offered for her to choose from according to her taste. Watching her eat, he asks, "Do you know your eyes are sparkling so much?", and the question pulls a shy smile out of the usually impenetrable manager.

Watch the first teaser here:

Sun-woo does not stop at flirting from a distance. He pledges outright, "I'm definitely going to stick right next to you, Manager Kang," making clear the younger man has no intention of keeping things professional.

The teaser closes on the morning commute, with Sun-woo holding open an elevator door just as it is about to close. Kang Yi-ji, already inside, greets him with a bright "Good morning," and the unexpected smile leaves him momentarily dazed.

Elite division head Park Hyun-tae, played by Go Soo, arrives as the teaser's other variable. He exerts a relaxed charisma toward Kang Yi-ji with a simple offer: "Get in. I'll take you."

That gives the romance its shape early: one man charging straight ahead with open affection, and another whose calm confidence could complicate her commute and her heart. How love intrudes on Kang Yi-ji's flawless work schedule is the question the series is built around.

Nine to Six is a work-life balance romance about a rational woman who has lived her life proving herself through work, who meets a kind and emotional man and begins rewriting her standards for work, love and happiness. The series is based on the 2021 Chinese drama The Rational Life, directed by Lee Hyung-min and Oh Song-hee, written by Choi Ji-o, and produced by Studio S and Samhwa Networks.
