Nina the Starry Bride Anime Reveals Main Trailer, Premiere Date & More Details

Nina the Starry Bride anime is coming this Fall!

The staff of the anime adaptation of Rikachi's Nina the Starry Bride has released a main trailer and key visual, as well as a premiere date, opening and ending theme song details, and additional cast announcements. The romance fantasy anime is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2024, JST. The ending theme song Hoshi no Dengon is performed by Toyama, while Maaya Sakamoto is performing the opening song nina. The two songs are previewed in the trailer, which you can watch below:

The additional Japanese voice cast members are Tatsuya Tomizawa as Daitus and Nao Toyama as Mufurumu. The new key visual features the orphan protagonist Nina and the other characters she meets in the fantasy land of Fortuna. Check out the new key visual for the anime here:

Studio Signal.MD is in charge of the animation of Nina the Starry Bride, with director Kenichirou Komaya (Kizuna no Allele, Shinkalion: Change The World) and series composer Yuka Yamada (Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence).  Kyoko Taketani (Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs) is in charge of the character designs, and Natsumi Tabuchi (Kizuna no Allele co-composer) is the music composer.

The main cast includes: Minami Tanaka as Nina, Yuuichirou Umehara as Azure, and Kouki Uchiyama as Sett

What is Nina the Starry Bride about?

Nina the Starry Bride (Japanese: Hoshifuru Ōkoku no Nina) is based on the manga series written and illustrated by Rikachi. The romance fantasy series began serlialization in Be Love in October 2019, and as of April 2024, it has been collected in 13 tankoubon volumes.

Kodansha USA provided a plot description for Nina the Starry Bride:

Nina had a rough start to life, orphaned and stealing to survive, only to be abducted for her unusual lapis lazuli eyes. But to her surprise, her captor, Prince Azure, ordained that she would live the life of a princess…specifically, that of the recently deceased princess-priestess, Alisha, who had her same eyes. Despite her changing fortune, Nina won’t give up her old life without a fight. Azure might just be the one to finally match her wits, but how much can she trust him? And can she stop the feelings budding in her heart, knowing she must eventually marry another…?
