
Netflix's highly-anticipated drama When Life Gives You Tangerines is coming in a couple of weeks, and to get fans even more excited, the streamer has released the main trailer preveiwing the adventurous stories of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik as they experience the vibrant seasons of Jeju Island. The drama, which stars Park Bo-gum and K-pop star IU (Lee Ji-eun) as the two leads, is scheduled to premiere on Netlfix on March 7, and it's confirmed to have a split release, a first for an exclusive Netflix South Korean drama.
When Life Gives You Tangerines is an original drama series directed by Kim Won-seok (Misaeng, Signal, and Arthdal Chronicles), and written by screenwriter Lim Sang-choon (Fight My Way and When the Camellia Blooms). In the drama, IU plays the the rebellious Ae-sun while Park Bo-gum-sik is a quiet, “unyielding iron". Spanning from 1960s Jeju to 2025 Seoul, When Life Gives You Tangerines promises to feature a heartfelt, emotional adventure, brought to life by a talented ensemble cast.

Ae Soon is rebellious but gets nervous every time she rebels. She isn’t well off but is always shining and full of positivity. Romance isn’t a strength for him, however, and he doesn’t know how to act if Ae Soon cries or laughs, but he is a silent warrior who only loves Ae Soon from the very beginning and pours his all into loving her.
