While Grand Theft Auto fans held out hope for a major reveal at this year's The Game Awards, Rockstar Games left audiences hanging without any official updates for the highly-anticipated GTA 6. Despite GTA 6 winning the Most Anticipated Game award at the event, Rockstar didn't show up, and the studio hasn't shared any information for the game's second trailer. However, Take Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar, has hyped up the game with some exciting words. A new GTA 6 logo has been uncovered.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was recently interviewed by YouTuber Conner Mather (initially reported by RockstarIntel). When Mather asked him to sum up GTA 6 in just a few words, Zelnick said that the open-world action-adventure game is "extraordinary" and will be "worth waiting for." Later in the video, Zelnick described GTA 6 as "breathtaking."

"I think it'll be extraordinary and worth waiting for," said the CEO. "Our teams are focused on what's new that you haven't even thought about."

With Zelnick's recent comments and Rockstar remaining near-silent on GTA 6, there's no denying that the game has a lot of pressure on it to perform. It's been more than a year since the first GTA 6 trailer was released, and a bunch of rumors and speculations have spread online since then. It's already been confirmed that GTA 6 would be released in Fall 2025, but recent delay rumors made enthusiasts worry. Despite the lack of official updates, however, the next Grand Theft Auto game is expected to be a smash hit, given Rockstar's track record with games like Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

New GTA 6 logo uncovered in Brazil trademark filing

Rockstar Games appeared to have filed a new trademark for two logos in Brazil, giving fans something to discuss as they wait for more official updates. As journalist @PortalViciados shared on X, two screenshots of filings appear to reveal two slightly different monochrome logos GTA 6 has registered.

One has palm trees in the "VI" behind "Grand Theft Auto" while the other is just black and white with the logo in the traditional Grand Theft Auto logo style.

Other than the GTA 6 game itself, the trademark filing also included clothing, suggesting that Rockstar Games have plans to launch Grand Theft Auto VI merch. The filing also includes printed materials such as pamphlets and manuals.

GTA 6
is currently in development for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, and it's scheduled to release in Fall 2025.
