Adam Sandler is back with a new comedy offering on Netflix. The actor, who has now become a Netflix staple but compared to his other comedy movies on the streamer, will star alongside his real-life daughters, Sadie and Sunny Sandler, and wife, Jackie Sandler, in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. And to excite fans more, the streaming giant has now revealed the movie’s release date and official trailer.
The new Netflix movie is based on the young adult novel by Fiona Rosenbloom. Here, Adam will play the role of Danny, a father of two teenage girls named Ronnie (Sadie) and Stacy (Sunny). Idina Menzel will portray his wife, Bree, while Jackie will be seen as Gabi Rodriguez Katz.
The trailer sees Stacy planning her bat mitzvah, which signifies that a young woman has already attained adulthood under Jewish law. However, still seeing her as a child, her father suggests she should have a ball pit instead. “That’s for kids!” Stacy exclaims.
From there, a major twist of events happens, from Tracy trying to be a grown-up, getting out of her childhood image, to meeting a new guy, Andy Goldfarb (Dylan Hoffman), who will ruin her relationship with her best friend, Lydia (Samantha Lorraine). Watch the trailer below:
