Jennifer Garner is back with a new body-swapping movie. But compared to her iconic 2004 13 Going on 30 film, where she became an adult, she would find herself trapped in her teenage daughter's body, played by Wednesday breakout star Emma Myers, in the new Netflix comedy offering Family Switch.
Family Switch will introduce fans to the Walker family, who are about to experience a Freaky Friday-style body swap after visiting an astrological reader. Thankfully, there’s still a chance for them to return to their original bodies, but they must learn to relate and understand one another before that happens. So, here’s everything you need to know about this new movie.
What is Family Switch about?
Family Switch is based on the 2010 children’s book Bedtime for Mommy by the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal. It follows the story of the couple Jess and Bill Walker, who are trying to keep their connection to their kids, CC and Wyatt, as they are growing up and becoming more independent.
However, things are about to change after an encounter with an astrologist, and they all wake up the next day as victims of a body swap. Even their youngest child, Miles, and their dog suffer the same fate. To make matters worse, the body switch happens at the most important time of their lives, with a promotion, a record deal, a college interview, and a soccer tryout that is about to happen.
