K-drama fans! Get ready for another romantic comedy that will probably make you laugh and cry as Netlfix has just released the teaser trailer for Mr. Plankton, which stars Woo Do-hwan (Bloodhounds, The Divine Fury) as Hae-Jo and Lee Yoo-mi (Strong Girl Nam-soon, Squid Game) as Jae-mi, who is described as the unluckiest woman in the world. The series, which is scheduled to premiere on November 8, is directed by Hong Jong-chan (Juvenile Justice) and written by Jo Yong (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay).

The teaser trailer reveals the shocking truths for both of the lead characters. Hae Jo finds out he has brain tumors and has little time left to live, while Jae-mi experiences premature menopause when she's expected to give birth to a child. The pair are revealed to be ex-lovers, and Hae Jo shows up on Jae-mi's wedding day, either to help her escape or steal her away. Eo Heung (Sweet Home’s Oh Jung-se), Jae-mi’s adoring husband-to-be, also appears in the teaser, and he looks pretty bewildered. Their paths collide as the teaser transitions into a montage of funny and sweet moments between the two, as Hae Jo is heard is saying, “That’s why we’re a match made in heaven”.

A teaser poster was also released for Mr. Plankton, which featurs Hae Jo and Jae-mi walk side by side, each wearing part of the same tracksuit set — Jae-mi in the jacket and Hae Jo in the pants. Yet they are gazing in opposite directions, maintaining a distance that hints at their complicated relationship.
