A new K-drama is making its way to Netflix. The streamer has officially announced the coming of The Bequeathed with an official teaser featuring the lead star Kim Hyun-joo as Yoon Seo-ha, who has inherited the mysterious gravesite of her family. However, something sinister has happened since then, and they all have a connection to her inheritance. You can check the preview below:

The teaser begins with a man telling Yoon Seo-ha that her late uncle has left her the family burial ground. After she has checked her uncle’s body, a man approaches her at the wake and introduces himself as her brother. “Your half-brother,” he says.

However, this guy has been annoying Seo-ha, telling her he has the right to the gravesite, too. From there, strange things start happening in the place, such as another death, while a guy warns who the next victims might be. As the teaser shows a montage of gunshots, blood, and more deaths, it shows a helpless Seo-ha crying.

What is The Bequeathed about?

Directed by Ming Hong-nam (Train to Busan, Psychokinesis, and Peninsula) and written by Yeon Sang-ho (Train to Busan, Hellbound, and Method), The Bequeathed follows the story of Yoon Seo-ha, who inherits their family’s gravesite after her late uncle’s demise. Since then, she has been involved in a number of strange events, while her stepbrother even leaves her with more confusion.

Detective Choi Sung-joon believes that the suspects involved in the recent incidents happening in the village are related to Seo-ha’s family gravesite. Alternatively, at the police station, Sung-joon has a bad relationship with Park Sang-ming, the detective squad’s chief. After what happened in the past, Sang-ming feels inferior and is jealous of Sung-joon.
