Earlier this month, My Happy Marriage Season 2 officially started streaming on Netflix, and with its first two episodes already out, it looks like the romantic story of Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudou is about to get more intense.The official website of the anime has unveiled preview stills and official synopsis for My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 3 (Episode 16 overall), which is titled Inoshinkyo and Demons (based on the English translation).
In the previous episode, Miyo continued to struggle to win over Kiyoka's mother while Kiyoka investigated the Grotesquerie sightings and the ominous figure connected to the rundown mansion, and although he was able to defeat him, the threat of the Innoshinkyo religion still exists. The end of that episode showed Arata appearing after Miyo tries to use her Dream-Sight ability to save a villager who has been attacked by a demon. The next episode will show Miyo entering the spiritual world of the villagers while Arata protects her. Kiyoka explores the ruins on the outskirts of the village, and discovers a shocking truth.

Arata rushes to the scene when Miyo tries to use her supernatural powers to save a villager who has been attacked by a demon. After being admonished for trying to do something reckless on her own, Miyo enters the spiritual world of the villagers while Arata watches over her. Meanwhile, in the ruins on the outskirts of the village, Kiyoka is confronting Takagami, a follower of the Innoshinkyo sect. Kiyoka defeats the demon that attacks him and realizes that it is a human who has become a demon by drinking "demon blood"...

Studio Kinema Citrus, which animated the first season of the romance anime, is also producing the animation of My Happy Marriage Season 2. Takehiro Kubota is once again directing the sequel, and he is joined by Masayuki Kojima. Ami Sato is in charge of the script once again alongside Momoka Toyoda, Fuka Ishii, and Misato Hashiba. Shoko Yasuda is back as the character designer, and Evan Call is back as the music composer for the second season.
My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 3 Release Date
My Happy Marriage Season 2 Episode 3 is scheduled to air on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 10:30 pm JST on Tokyo MX and other networks in Japan. Viewers in Japan can watch it on Tokyo MX, followed by broadcasts on BSII, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Aichi, and other channels.
Release times will vary internationally due to time zone differences. The series will be available to stream globally on Netflix, and it will also be released on other platforms like Disney+, Hulu, ABEMA, and Lemino in select regions.
What is My Happy Marriage about?
My Happy Marriage is based on the light novel series (Japanese: Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Initially published online via the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website, My Happy Marriage was later acquired by Fujimi Shobo, who has released the series since January 2019 under their Fujimi L Bunko imprint. Yen Press, which licensed the light novel series in English, shared a plot description for My Happy Marriage:
Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.
