Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 16 Preview: Rudeus Reunites with Norn and Aisha

Earlier this month, the second part of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 kicked off, and with three new episodes already out, fans of the popular isekai anime series are looking forward to what happens next after Rudeus Greyrat and Sylphiette's wedding reception in their newly-purchased house. The official website of the anime has revealed preview stills and a synopsis for the next episode, which is titled Norn and Aisha, which refers to Rudeus younger sister Norn Greyrat and half-sister Aisha Greyrat. The synopsis reveals that their father, Paul Greyrat, has a message for Rudeus, but it looks like there's going to be a problem.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 16 is scheduled to premiere this Sunday, April 28, and Studio Bind is once again producing the animation for the upcoming episodes. The official synopsis of the sixteenth episode of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 reads:

Rudeus' younger sisters Norn and Aisha came to Rudeus' house. However, in contrast to her cheerful girlfriend Aisha, Norn is shy and does not open up to Rudeus... Rudeus, who is at a loss for how to treat his two sisters who are complete opposites, tries to follow Paul's message and send them to school, but...

The second cour of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 is adapting the tenth volume of Rifujin na Magonote's light novel series, which marks the beginning of the Newlyweds Arc. As the title of the arc suggests, the second cour will mostly focus on Rudeus and Sylphy's wedding. It will feature various events such as house hunting and wedding planning, keeping the new couple busy with various tasks as they enjoy their married life.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 is directed by Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World), marking the second directional change for the anime series (The first season was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, and Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano directed Season 2 Part 1). As for the returning staff: Toshiya Oono is the series composer once again while Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible) and Sanae Shimada are the character designers. The art director is Masakazu Miyake, and the music composer is Yoshiaki Fujisawa.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 16 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu in the U.S, so expect it to arrive this Sunday, April 28. In fact, you can also watch all the episodes of Season 1 and the first cour of Season 2 on both platforms. The newest anime episodes of Season 2 will air every Sunday, and the second season is confirmed to have a total of 25 episodes (in 2 cours), so we can expect 10 more new episodes coming in the Spring 2024 anime season.

What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime about?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is based on the popular isekai light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The fantasy series began in 2014 and concluded in November 2022 with 26 volumes. It also inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The first volume of the light novel sversion of the Dasoku-hen spin-off was released in June 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment shared a plot description for the series:

Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
