Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 13 Preview Shows Rudy & Sylphie Finding a Home

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, one of the most highly-anticipated anime shows returning for the Spring 2024 season, has released preview stills and the official synopsis for the first episode of the second cour of Season 2. The episode is officially titled Dream Home, and it will see the newly-engaged Rudy and Sylphie searching for a home, and although they're able to find a large house at a surprisingly cheap price, it seems to have a bit of a curse problem. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 13 is scheduled to premiere this Sunday, April 7, and Studio Bind is once again producing the animation for the new episodes. The official website of the isekai anime has shared an official synopsis for the next episode:

Rudeus, who is now engaged to Silphy, is unsure of the marriage procedure in this world, so he consults Zanoba and Cliff. When he hears that the first step is to decide on a place to live, a real estate agency introduces him to a property that is large yet surprisingly cheap. However, it is said to have issues, where visitors might meet mysterious deaths due to a curse…

The second cour is expected to pick up where the first one left off, so this means that there won't be any significant timeskip in Episode 13. The anime is expected to adapt the tenth volume of Rifujin na Magonote's light novel series, which marks the beginning of the Newlyweds Arc. As the title of the arc suggests, the second cour will mostly focus on Rudeus and Sylphy's wedding. It will feature various events such as house hunting and wedding planning, keeping the new couply busy with various tasks as they enjoy their married life.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 is directed by Ryousuke Shibuya (The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World), marking the second directional change for the anime series (The first season was directed by Onimai‘s Shingo Fujii, and Season 1 assistant director Hiroki Hirano directed Season 2 Part 1). As for the returning staff: Toshiya Oono is the series composer once again while Yoshiko Saitou (Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible) and Sanae Shimada are the character designers. The art director is Masakazu Miyake, and the music composer is Yoshiaki Fujisawa.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Episode 13 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu in the U.S. In fact, you can also watch all the episodes of Season 1 and the first cour of Season 2 on both platforms. The newest anime episodes of Season 2 of air every Sunday, and the new season is confirmed to have a total of 25 episodes (in 2 cours), so we can expect 13 more new episodes coming in the Spring 2024 anime season.

What is Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation anime about?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 is based on the popular isekai light novel series written Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The series began in 2014 and concluded in November 2022 with 26 volumes. It also inspired a manga adaptation and multiple spin-offs. The first volume of the light novel sversion of the Dasoku-hen spin-off was released in June 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment shared a plot description for the series:

Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!
