With the continuation of the annual Call of Duty cycle, new information keeps coming in bits and pieces almost daily. These details range from leaks of popular maps making a comeback to files being extracted from the Warzone code, hinting at an upcoming reveal event in the game.
Lately, there has been tons of stuff to keep the community busy and on their toes, eagerly waiting for the game's release. At this point, the leaks are only piling up, with many of them suggesting that a couple of features are ready to make a comeback in Modern Warfare 3. This includes a revamped Perk system in Gear’s form, which players will now be able to equip.
Will Modern Warfare 3 Feature Iconic CoD Mini-Map?
Over the years, CoD mini-maps have been the source of frustration for many players. Previously, a red dot would appear on the mini-map once shots were fired from an un-silenced weapon, revealing the player's location. However, in more recent titles like Modern Warfare 2, this does not happen, which means that shooting an un-silenced weapon keeps the player hidden on the mini-map.

With the release of Modern Warfare 3, it seems like players might see the return of the traditional mini-map. ‘BobNetworkUK,’ a CoD reputable leaker, has recently revealed that red dots are coming back on the mini-map. But don’t take this information seriously since no official confirmation has been released yet, so we can’t be sure as changes are often made during the entire course of game development.
Leaks Suggest New Gear System In Modern Warfare 3
It was also recently leaked that a brand-new Gear system will be introduced in Modern Warfare 3. Hopefully, one that will overhaul or maybe entirely replace the classic Perks system. Furthermore, it seems like Perks might be tied to particular pieces of equipment under this new Gear system. In the leak, gloves, vests, and boots were labeled with plenty of Perks attached to every piece of armor under the three given categories.
According to rumors, one such Perk that might rejoin the lineup in 2023 is the beloved Ninja. Regardless of taking multiple forms, the Perk’s primary objective is to reduce or silence movement-based audio cues, Operator grunt, muffling footsteps, and even jumping sounds.

Owing to the alleged return of Ninja in Modern Warfare 3, movement can once again be quiet. However, we are currently unsure how it might function in the upcoming game, but if leaks are to be believed, then Ninja will return after a year since it was absent in Modern Warfare 2.
Again, do not take this information based on leaks seriously since none of it has been officially confirmed yet. However, you can see for yourself once Modern Warfare 3 releases on November 10, 2023.
