Minami Hinata Joins The Cast of Dr. Stone: Science Future as Charlotte

The first cour of Dr Stone: Science Future is almost over.

Following today's broadcast of the eleventh episode of Dr. Stone: Science Future, the fourth and final season, the official website of the anime has announced a new cast member: Minami Hinata (Bojji in Ranking of Kings), who voices Charlotte in Episode 11. A visual for Hinata and her character was shared online:

Dr. Stone: Science Future, which premiered on January 9 on the Tokyo MX channel, will air for three cours (quarters of the year) with breaks in between. The final season also premiered on January 9 on Amazon Prime, ABEMA, Disney+, DMM TV, and other streaming platforms in Japan. New episodes of Dr. Stone: Science Future will be available to stream on Crunchyroll in Europe, North America, Central America, South America, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and CIS.

TMS Entertainment, which produced the animation for the first three seasons of Dr. Stone, returned to produce the animation of the final season, with Shuhei Matsushuita as director.

What is Dr. Stone about?

Dr. Stone TV anime is based on the sci-fi adventure manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by South Korean artist Boichi. The series was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022, with its chapters compiled in 27 tankōbon volumes.

The first season of the Dr. Stone anime premiered in 2019; Season 2 premiered in 2021, and Season 3 in 2023. Dr. Stone: Science Future was officially announced in December 2023, and at Anime Expo 2024, Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the series on the platform next year. Crunchyroll's plot description for Dr. Stone reads:

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing... Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin!
