Konao Menrui's isekai fantasy light novel series Meitō "Isekai no Yu" Kaitaku-ki: AraFō Onsen Mania Tensei-saki wa, Nonbiri Onsen Tengoku Deshita (Pioneer Log of the Storied Hot Springs "Alternate World's Springs": The Reincarnation Destination of an Onsen Fan (Who's Around 40) Was a Relaxing Hot Spring Paradise) will be releasing a series of television animated shorts next month, and today, Tokyo MX has revealed broadcasting details for the show's premiere episode. The anime will begin broadcasting in a 5-minute time slot on January 11, 2024, and animation studios BloomZ and Wolfsbane are animating the series of animated shorts.
Meitō "Isekai no Yu" Kaitaku-ki will broadcast in a 5-minute time slot on the Tokyo MX and BS Fuji channels in Japan, and an explicit "steam-less ver." of the anime will stream exclusively on the AnimeFesta service.
What is Meitō "Isekai no Yu" Kaitaku-ki about?
Meitō "Isekai no Yu" Kaitaku-ki's story centers around Yoshizō Yukawa, a major hot spring fan who discovers hidden springs to revitalize the economy of the local area. However, he dies after falling off a cliff and is reincarnated to an alternate world, with the help of an inari deity of harvest at a small shrine nestled in the rocks. Together with the inari's attendant princess Mayudama, Yoshizō continues searching for storied hot springs, only this time in another world. Along the way, he ends up naked in hot springs with elven girls and furry-eared girls.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Konao Menrui and illustrated by Yoshitake, which was originally launched on the Novel Up Plus service in September 2019. The light novels and its follow-up volumes are published by Hobby Japan's HJ Novels imprint, and Masahito Sasaki serializes the manga adaptation on the Fire Cross service, and the first manga volume was published by Hobby Japan in August 2022.
