Almost two years after Netflix announced a follow-up to its 2021 Masters of the Universe: Revelation, the streamer has finally given a new look at Skeletor and He-Man’s upcoming ultimate battle in Masters of the Universe: Revolution. The new trailer shows the chaos in Eternia, how He-Man will choose his fate as the city now needs a king, and the war against Skeletor is about to begin. You can check the preview below:

The Masters of the Universe: Revolution begins with King Randor saying that death comes even for kings like him and telling his son, Prince Adam, that he has to choose between remaining a hero or a ruler of Eternia. “It cannot be both,” he says. As Adam declares that he will never be half the man or king his father was after Randor’s demise, the chaos in Eternia begins. This makes Adam confused about having powers if he only needs to give them up to rule the kingdom.

From there, Skeletor is back with much more powers and abilities and ready to face He-Man and test the hero’s limit with a series of dangerous battles. “Time for a revolution!” he declares. Of course, Adam will never back down and delivers his iconic line, “I have the power!” while wielding his sword and revealing his character as He-Man. As the intense battle begins, he tells Skeletor that the fight is over.

What is Masters of the Universe: Revolution about?

Masters of the Universe: Revolution will continue where Masters of the Universe: Revelation left off. After Skeletor reveals that the Motherboard assimilated him, he bears a Horde symbol that everyone can see. However, since he possesses new abilities and powers, it will be harder for Adam to defeat him, even if he becomes the superpowered hero He-Man again.

But aside from battling Skeletor, Adam also has to face the aftermath of his fight against Scare Glow. Just when he thought everything was over, he’s about to face a much greater challenge: leading Eternia after his father’s death.

You can read the synopsis below:

“It's technology versus magic as He-Man and friends fight back against the shadowy forces of Skeletor in an epic battle for the heart of Eternia.”

The animated series is a follow-up to Kevin Smith and Powerhouse Animation Studios’ Masters of the Universe: Revelation, which was released on July 23, 2021, on Netflix. Revelation is a sequel to the 1980s series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe by Filmnation but ignored the events of the 1990 The New Adventures of He-Man. In June 2022, the streamer announced the coming of the sequel Masters of the Universe: Revolution.
