Mash Burnedead's muscle-powered run through magic school will continue on Crunchyroll, which has confirmed it will stream the third season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles. The new season carries the full title Mashle: Magic and Muscles The Tri-Magicathlon Divine Visionary Final Exam Arc.
Crunchyroll announced the streaming pickup on October 28, confirming the season for its January 2027 premiere in Japan. The announcement lists the streaming territories as worldwide, excluding Japan and China.
The season picks up Mash's push to become a Divine Visionary, the elite title given to the very best student at his magic academy. After surviving the candidate exam in the second season, Mash and his friends now face the final exam that decides who earns that title.
Crunchyroll's announcement embeds a first-look video for the new season, giving an early look at Mash and his classmates heading into the final exam arc. The video comes from Aniplex USA and serves as the season's first-look preview ahead of its premiere.

The returning voice cast includes Chiaki Kobayashi as Mash Burnedead, Reiji Kawashima as Finn Ames and Kaito Ishikawa as Lance Crown. Takuya Eguchi also returns as Dot Barrett, alongside Reina Ueda as Lemon Irvine.
Tomonari Tanaka continues to direct the series at A-1 Pictures, with Yosuke Kuroda handling series composition and Masaru Yokoyama composing the music. Chiaki Furuzumi takes over as character designer for the third season from Hisashi Higashijima, after working as a sub-character designer on Solo Leveling.
The announcement pairs the streaming news with a Japanese key visual for the final exam arc, placing Mash at the center of the season's rollout. It is the latest step in the build-up to the season, following the earlier first announcement of the third season and its move into the manga's final exam storyline.
What is Mashle: Magic and Muscles about?
The series is based on the action-comedy fantasy manga written and illustrated by Hajime Komoto, which ran in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from January 2020 to July 2023. The manga was collected into 18 volumes, and Viz Media releases the series in English.
Viz Media describes the series as follows:
Mash just wants to live in peace with his father in the forest. But the only way he'll ever be accepted in the magic realm is by attending magic school and becoming a Divine Visionary—an exceptional student revered as one the chosen. But without an ounce of magic to his name, Mash will have to punch his way to the top spot.
The first season of Mashle: Magic and Muscles aired in 2023, followed by the second season, Mashle: Magic and Muscles The Divine Visionary Candidate Exam Arc, in 2024. Both seasons are streaming on Crunchyroll ahead of the third season's premiere in January 2027.
