Insomniac Games has always aimed to feature a more massive and connected world in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Players can easily find where the Avengers Tower is located or get direct references to different characters in the game from the Marvel world, such as Wong. Now that Insomniac Games is working on Marvel’s Wolverine, the devs are planning to bring more games and characters to the Spider-Man universe.

Nevertheless, such easter eggs leave players asking a lot more questions, like why did the Avengers not assist the webslingers while Venom was invading New York? The entire situation was pretty difficult for the Spider-Men to deal with alone, yet they had no option but to take care of it. Gamers recently discovered another easter egg that might change the game’s universe, but it leads players to ask questions about the game’s plot.

Peter Parker Supposedly Never Called Tony Stark Back For a Job

Reddit user JaMoraht started a thread that managed to get almost 2k upvotes, in which they posted a photo of a post-it note in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 that Peter wrote. It read, “Call T.S back re: job offer.” Considering how close Peter and Tony Stark were in both the comic books and the movies, it’s quite evident that Insomniac Games was hinting at an Iron Man easter egg, which is pretty cool.

However, this easter egg does leave many players to wonder about Peter’s financial state at the start of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 when he loses his job as a teacher. From the looks of it, Peter is clearly in debt, but it seems like Tony Stark did offer him a job, which would have made his situation a lot better than what the game suggests. Many fans had a lot of things to comment on under the post regarding Peter’s situation.

One player said, “Yeah really stupid lol. Is insomniac trying to make Peter out to be the dumbest man alive? Job offer from a literal billionaire, who's also an avenger, but apparently is less concerning to him than working as an underpaid high school teacher. F**king what.” Another player commented, “I always assumed the job offer was joining the Avengers which has lots of travel and doesn’t pay well.”

This particular easter egg can have multiple explanations, like perhaps Tony offered Peter the job before he took the teaching job, and now the offer has expired. There’s also the possibility that T.S. doesn’t really stand for Tony Stark at all. However, since Insomniac is further growing the universe, we’ll have to wait and see what they plan to do with this.
