Marvel is all set to feature an epic clawed crossover that is going to bring two of the most popular franchises together. The merge between the planet-hopping hunter and the adamantium-clawed mutant is going to be amazing, and now Marvel has also revealed a bunch of impressive Predator vs. Wolverine variant covers for the release issue. Fans can get their hands on it once the fall miniseries actually releases on September 20, 2023.
The popular comic book is written by the author Benjamin Percy, who is famous for his works on Ghost Rider, X-Force, and Marvel’s ongoing solo Wolverine title. This epic crossover is going to cut across decades just for a four-issue miniseries that serves as an interior art showcase from different popular illustrators such as Kei Zama, Greg Land, Marco Checchetto, Andrea Di Vito, and Ken Lashley. You can read the official description of the limited series below:
Benjamin Percy is quite familiar with these classic franchise superheroes, i.e., Predator and Wolverine. This is because he was first present in director John McTiernan’s original Predator feature movie as well as Marvel’s very own fierce member of the popular X-Men clan. During a statement, Percy said:
The eight variant covers are courtesy of different artists, such as Steven McNiven, Inhyuk Lee, Mike McKone, Alex Maleev, Stephen Segovia, Skottie Young, and Peach Momoko. You can see all eight covers below:

Why has Marvel taken so long on this crossover?
Marvel acquired the Aliens vs. Predator franchise in 2020, after which they had the rights to release the next series of comics based on the same franchise. Since then, Marvel has teased a crossover between Aliens, Predators, and some iconic Marvel characters. They even teased some cover images of Marvel characters fighting Aliens and Predators, but that was over 3 years ago now.
We are not sure why Marvel didn’t follow them up with any official crossover earlier, but now they have finally chosen Wolverine to be the character that faces off against Predator. This choice seems to be well-received by fans, who are excited for the upcoming comics, and hope they will be worth the long wait.
Marvel’s Predator vs. Wolverine #1 is set to arrive in comic book shops on September 20, 2023.
