Ever since VALORANT was released back in 2020, the game has had the same roster of weapons. Although some of them have seen some balancing changes, the weapons of VALORANT have remained more or less unchanged. However, according to a leaker, this is about to change.

A credible leaker for VALORANT has claimed that a new weapon in the sniper rifles category is coming to the game. This weapon is called “Outlaw,” and it was first leaked back in October 2023, when Riot Games unintentionally revealed it during a weapons showcase. The weapon only appeared briefly and was shown in the game’s buy menu, where we saw its in-game price to be 2800 credits. This puts this weapon right between the current two snipers in the game since the Operator costs 4700 credits and the Marshal costs 950 credits.

As for this weapon’s stats, according to a well-known VALORANT leaker, the Outlaw will fire two bullets before needing to reload and will have 10 bullets in reserve. It will do 238 headshot damage, 140 to the body and 119 to the legs. The body damage is especially interesting since this means that this weapon will be able to one-shot opponents with light armor. This gun will have 80% running speed and will have an equip time of 1.25 seconds.

According to that same leaker, the Outlaw is expected to come out at the start of Episode 8. We can’t say how strong this weapon will be compared to others yet, but we are certain it will change up the Valorant saving and half-buying meta.

When will VALORANT Episode 8 come out?

VALORANT Episode 8 has received quite some hype since the update is expected to bring a new weapon and agent to the game. The good news for those waiting patiently for this update is that it is right around the corner. VALORANT Episode 8 is set to come out in all its glory on 10th January. Similar to all previous Episode releases, it will reset the ranks of everyone in the game and demote everyone to a lower rank.
