Fortnite is well into its popular Season OG, which takes the battle royale game all the way back to its Chapter 1 map. The season is set to come to an end during the first half of the upcoming month, and then Fortnite will swiftly dive into its next chapter, i.e., Chapter 5 Season 1. Although not much is officially known about the chapter, some leaks have been dropping hints as to what gamers might expect.
The biggest collaboration that is on every player’s mind right now is, of course, the upcoming Lego crossover, but that isn’t all. In August, many leaks suggested that Fortnite will introduce a brand-new racing mode for a short time, and more leaks that were revealed today claim that Rocket League is going to be a huge part of the limited-time event. ShiinaBR, a reputable and popular Fortnite leaker, revealed this leak on Twitter.
Although it’s necessary that you do not take this leak seriously since it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, this leaker does have a good track record of revealing Fortnite information that later turns out to be accurate. While you still shouldn’t trust the leak, it does look quite legit. Interestingly, the leaker claims in the leak that the racing mode playlist is using a Rocket League image right now as its placeholder.
Not only this, but what’s even more weird is that this image was actually created by a fan many years ago. One might think that Epic Games, being the publisher of Rocket League, would possess a lot of official shots in their storage, but it is quite an amazing photo. This somehow does confirm that the car soccer video game might play a huge part in the upcoming rumored Fortnite racing mode.

What to expect from the Fortnite Racing Mode?
The very first leaker to reveal the racing mode update in Fortnite was iFireMonkey on Twitter, which is another reputable leaker. While some of the information they shared is incomplete, we do know that the mode is going to arrive sometime during Chapter 5 Season 1, and will reportedly feature its own Battle Pass. In addition to that, it’s rumored to consist of four different game modes, which are Competitive, Death Race, Casual, and Easy Rider.
There are allegedly 17 maps in the rumored Fortnite racing mode, even though that figure might be smaller. The original leak suggested that there might be “12 Casual mode Maps, 4 Ranked Mode Maps,” and “one map called ‘Whiplash Circuit.’” There’s a chance of there being some sort of a carry-over between these maps, even though it wasn’t really clear from the leaks.
When will Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 go live?
Fortnite Season OG will begin its ending event on November 21, with the season officially coming to an end on December 3. The starting date for Chapter 5 Season 1 is expected to be somewhere around December 3 or 4, depending on the amount of time Epic Games plans on taking for the game’s downtime.
Fortnite is currently available to play on PC platforms, Switch, PlayStation, mobile, and Xbox.
