Konosuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! is back for its third anime season, joining an exciting lineup of isekai anime shows that includes Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3, Re:Monster, and more. Following the events of the Legend of Crimson movie (2019), Kazuma's party is back with their shenanigans in Season 3, and with one episode already out, the official website of the anime has shared preview stills, a teaser trailer, and a plot synopsis for the upcoming episode.

The preview reveals that Kazuma and his friends will visit Wiz's magic tool shop, and that they will finally meet Princess Iris. This happens after Kazuma is invited by royalty to tell them of his party's adventures, and of course, he, Aqua, and Megumin are ready to embrace the opportunity while Darkness protests profusely. The official synopsis of KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 2 reads:

Kazuma and his friends receive a letter from Princess Iris. While Kazuma is excited about how beautiful the princess is and wants to listen to her adventure stories while having a meal, Darkness is worried that her head will fly off if she behaves poorly. Meanwhile, Kazuma and his friends visit Wiz's magic tool shop. New products invented by Kazuma were lined up there! Thanks to new products, the magic tool shop is thriving, and the day passes when they finally meet the princess!

Studio Drive, which animated the spin-off series Konosuba: An Explosion in This Wonderful World!, replaced Studio Deen as the animation studio in charge of KonoSuba Season 3. The main Japanese cast of the anime are set to reprise their roles, including: Kazuma (voiced by Jun Fukushima) Megumin (Rie Takahashi), Aqua (Sora Amamiya), and Darkness (voiced by Ai Kayano). New cast include Kanon Takao as Iris, Sayuri Yahagi as Claire, and Reina Ueda as Rain.

What is KonoSuba about?

KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! is based on the light novel series of the same title (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, which was first published in 2013, and ended in 2020, after seventeen volumes were released. The isekai fantasy series has multiple spin-offs and side stories.

After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…

Where to Watch KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 2

KonoSuba Season 3 Episode 2 premiered today, Wednesday, April 17, and fans in North America and other select regions will be able to stream it on Crunchyroll. The platform is also streaming the first two seasons of the TV anime and Konosuba -God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! – Legend of Crimson. The third season is confirmed to have a total of 11 episodes, so we can expect 9 more new episodes to arrive for the Spring 2024 season.
