Kadokawa has released the main trailer for the upcoming original video anime (OVA) for the KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world! 3 anime. The isekai OVA will consist of two episode, and it's scheduled to release in theaters in Japan next month. The double-episode OVA is called KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World Season 3 -BONUS STAGE-, and it will be screened for two weeks in theaters starting on March 14, 2025, while they will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on April 25, 2025.
Theatergoers who watch the film next month will receive a bonus novella written by Natsume Akatsuki titled Fuyu Shōgun Returns (Winter Shogun Returns), while supplies last. The trailer features KonoSuba Season 3's opening theme song Growing Up by Machico. The trailer shows that KonoSuba is the funniest isekai anime franchise ever. Kadokawa also shared new visuals for the guest characters who will appear in the new KonoSuba OVA. The names and cast of the four characters will be revealed at a later date. Check out the four character visuals in the image gallery below.

KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world! Season 3 premiered last April and aired for 11 episodes. The episodes were released on Crunchyroll as they aired in the Spring 2024 anime season, and the streamer also released an official English dub. Previous anime director Takaomi Kanasaki returned as the chief animation director for Season 3, and Studio Drive is in charge of the animation (Studio DEEN animated the first two seasons and J.C. Staff animated the movie). Yujiro Abe was the director of Season 3, with Makoto Uezu as the series composer, and Koichi Kikuta returned as character designer.
What is KonoSuba about?
KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World! is based on the light novel series of the same title (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, which was first published in 2013, and ended in 2020, after seventeen volumes were released. The light novel series was published under Kadokawa Shoten's Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. The isekai fantasy series has multiple spin-offs and side stories.

After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…
