The Kimi ni Todoke Season 3 trailer begins with Sawako rushing to Kazehaya for their first date. These two are finally a couple, though Sawako is still trying to understand what being in a relationship means. Ayane explains to Sawako that the couple holds hands, hugs, and kisses. As expected, it surprises Sawako, and Chizuru starts shaking her. Later, as the school goes to Okinawa, they will have new life experiences, bringing Sawako and Kazehaya closer than ever.
The pair takes a group photo with their friends as they make new memories together. Someone then asks Ryu for a date, leaving them all confused. However, Ryu tells Chizuro it doesn’t concern her, making her sad. Ayane then starts asking herself if Ryu will date someone one day, which makes her jealous.
Ayane begins reminiscing about her past, revealing that she got caught up when a guy asked her out. She also recalls dating men out of sympathy. With everything she has experienced, she can’t help but ask herself if she will fall in love someday, which makes her tear up. Miura looks at Ayane fondly and reveals that she runs away when he reaches out and never lets her guard down. From there, love may start to grow between the two.
The scene returns to Sawako and Kazehaya, as the former wonders when their love began. She still questions how they have become so close and why her heart is about to explode when she looks at him. As they look each other in the eye, Kazehaya asks her to close her eyes to kiss her as imase’s Et cetera begins to play, and Ryu and Chizuro and Ayane and Miura start to pair up.
