Kim Da-mi's Go Dal-bun only ever wanted to be a devoted wife and mother, but a divorce and a fight to bring her young daughter back push her into a suspicious new job instead. TVING confirmed the full main cast for its noir action original The Obedient Killer on October 29, locking in the team around her.

In its report of TVING's announcement, Star News described the series as the story of an obedient woman whose only life plan was marriage and motherhood. After her divorce, Go Dal-bun takes on an unplanned job and discovers an unexpected talent in the process.

Kim Da-mi plays Go Dal-bun, who goes to work under the codename "Miss Go." The role puts her at the center of the assassin team, as a newcomer whose ordinary life gives way to work she never imagined doing.

Jo Bo-ah plays "Miss Lee," the ace and leader of the assassin group known as the "Ugly Three Musketeers." Miss Lee pursues perfection in everything she does, having sacrificed much to become the best while rigorously training both her body and her mind.

Jo A-ram completes the trio as "Miss Gye," the group's mood-maker and troublemaker. Nicknamed the "Fighting Chicken," Miss Gye brings an unpredictable energy to the team, with a personality that keeps even her own side guessing.

Kim Jae-wook will lend his support through a special appearance as "Manager Cha." The character is a taciturn gentleman who is always gentle on the surface, yet whose true intentions remain unknown, leaving the mystery behind his soft demeanor as one of the series' open questions.

Nam Yoon-su rounds out the announced lineup as Jung Jung-won, a pure and enthusiastic rookie detective. His position on the other side of the law sets him on a collision course with the suspicious team Miss Go has joined.

The casting also closes a chapter in the production's recent history, after the role of Miss Lee changed hands earlier this month. Yonhap noted that Lee Chung-ah was originally slated to play Miss Lee, before Jo Bo-ah took over the role after Lee Chung-ah withdrew from the project due to a back injury.

The series marks a notable return for Jo Bo-ah, who married a non-celebrity in October 2024 and welcomed her first son in February of this year. She chose The Obedient Killer as her comeback work for television following the birth of her son, adding another layer of interest to her confirmed appearance.

Behind the camera, Lee Jung-heum, known for Inspector Koo, directs the series from a script by Joo Hwa-mi, the writer of The Atypical Family. Kang Eun-kyung, the writer of Gyeongseong Creature, joins the project as creator, reuniting a team with a strong track record in both character drama and genre storytelling.
