Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is already due to premiere this Thursday but the new opening sequence for the anime has just been leaked. The sequence, which features a new song by Tatsuya Kitani, has found its way into social media and fans can't get enough of the slice-of-life anime feels. In addition to that, the premiere episode of the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc has snuck into the internet prior to its official release date.
It was previously confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will feature a new opening song titled Ao no Sumika by Tatsuya Kitani. Although the anime didn't release a music video for the new track, it is featured in the opening sequence that was leaked into various social media platforms.
Interestingly, the opening sequence for the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc has a light-hearted feel and fans are claiming that it might confuse people into thinking that Jujutsu Kaisen is a slice-of-life anime. However, those who have seen the first season or read the Gege Akutami manga know that this couldn't be further from the truth.
The opening sequence isn't the only thing that was leaked on the internet. The premiere episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was also shared on Twitter and Reddit, offering a first look at Satoru Gojo as a teenager attending Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School and an interesting mission for two particular students.
We won't spoil anything ahead of the official premiere but it's safe to say that we will get our proper introduction to the young Gojo and Suguru Geto back when they were still best friends. Additionally, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will feature most of the current timeline's adult sorcerers as students so it's a new perspective on Shoko Ieri, Kento Nanami, Utahime Iori, and Mei Mei.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will finally premiere on July 6, 2023.
