The wait for the second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is almost over and the franchise clearly wants fans to be hyped up about the show's return. A new teaser reveals when we'll get to hear the second season's opening theme. In addition to that, we'll be getting the first trailer and key visual for the Shibuya Incident arc very soon!
The update comes from the official Jujutsu Kaisen X (formerly Twitter) account. The tweet confirms that the Shibuya Incident opening theme SPECIALZ by King Gnu will be revealed on August 24, 2023. It is also confirmed that the new trailer and key visual for the second cour will be released at the same time.
This is an exciting update considering that fans are already looking forward to the second half of the Shibuya Incident arc. Interestingly, people are excited about seeing Satoru Gojo being reunited with his students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. With that in mind, we can't wait to see the new trailer and key visual tomorrow.
What to Expect in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2's Shibuya Incident arc
It's no secret that the second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is about the search for Mahito and his mysterious mole who helped him infiltrate Tokyo Jujutsu Tech during the Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event. However, that's not the craziest part of the story considering that Suguru Geto has something big planned for Gojo.
We already got to see how the friendship between Gojo and Geto deteriorated after they tried and failed to deliver the Star Plasma Vessel to Master Tengen. Unfortunately, it only led to Geto deciding to turn his back against his former friend and will undoubtedly send them on a struggle that will make things worse for everyone.
The upcoming segment of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will adapt the Gege Akutami manga's Shibuya Incident arc. Mark your calendars as Episode 6 is scheduled for its premiere on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
