Netflix released the final trailer for Possible Love ahead of the film's streaming debut, and played it at Netf-Janchi in Seoul on Saturday as all four leads took the stage. Jeon Do-yeon, Sol Kyung-gu, Jo In-sung and Jo Yeo-jeong appeared together at Netflix's "What Next?" showcase to talk about director Lee Chang-dong's first film in eight years.

Jeon Do-yeon plays Mi-ok, who lives quietly with her laid-off husband Ho-seok and their young son until a funeral brings the couple into the orbit of documentary filmmaker Ye-ji and her husband Sang-woo. Sol Kyung-gu plays Ho-seok, Jo Yeo-jeong plays Ye-ji and Jo In-sung plays Sang-woo, whose affluent life stands in sharp contrast to the first couple's own.

Jeon said the script "left a deep impression on me, much like reading a work of literature." She added that she took Lee's direction to heart: "Taking to heart the director's advice not to act for the sake of showing off, but to express only what I truly feel, I cleared my mind, opened my heart, and sought to fully embrace the character of Mi-ok."

Sol Kyung-gu revealed that he accepted the role immediately, without reading the script at all. "I chose it for the sole reason that it was a project by director Lee Chang-dong," he said, explaining that he had wanted to save the director's work to watch later.

Jo In-sung reflected on the film's festival run through Venice, Toronto, New York, Busan and London. "It was a truly precious opportunity to meet film fans from all over the world in person and see and hear firsthand just how much they love our films," he said.

Jo Yeo-jeong said the film asks what kind of love is truly possible over a lifetime, and what it takes to protect it. "Possible Love is a work that holds so many stories and good questions," she said. "I am truly curious to see what answer you will find when you look at the possibility of love."

The film follows the intertwined lives of the two couples after Mi-ok agrees to be filmed for Ye-ji's documentary about laid-off workers. As their worlds collide, Mi-ok grows close to Ye-ji and finds herself uneasily drawn to the unreadable Sang-woo, and fractures begin to appear in both couples' daily existence.

Possible Love premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in September, where it won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize, and South Korea has selected it as the country's official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards.
