The staff for the anime adaptation of Nabeshiki and Kawaguchi's I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I'm the Strongest? I'm Not Even an Adventurer Yet! light novel series has revealed a new trailer on Friday. The trailer showcases the heroic and highly-trained protagonist Noor (voiced by Daiki Hamano) in this fantasy adventure. The main promo video also previews the anime's opening theme song, AMBITION, by Maika Sakuragi of UTAHIME DREAM (voiced by Anna Suzuki). Meanwhile, the ending theme, No Gifted, is is performed by Utahime Dream All-Stars.
The fantasy series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan on BS11, TOKYO MX, and Mainichi Broadcasting System on July 4, 2024, and it will be available to stream in the U.S. on HIDIVE. There will also be a North American premiere of the anime's first two episodes at Anime Expo 2024 event on July 4 at 1:30 p.m. PDT.
Studio OLM is in charge of the animation, with Dai Fukuyama (episode director on Beyblade franchise, Fate/Zero) as the director. The anime is based on the I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I'm the Strongest? I'm Not Even an Adventurer Yet! (Japanese: Ore wa Subete o "Parry" Suru: Gyaku Kanchigai no Sekai Saikyō wa Bōken-sha ni Naritai) light novel series written by Nabeshiki and illustrated by Kawaguchi. Earth Star Entertainment originally published the series under their Earth Star Novel Imprint. J-Novel Club released an English language version of the fantasy series, and KRSG released a manga adaptation on Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star website in September 2020.
J-Novel Club shared a plot description for I Parry Everything: What Do You Mean I'm the Strongest? I'm Not Even an Adventurer Yet!:
The Kingdom of Clays faces a dire crisis: an assassination attempt has just been made on its own Princess Lynneburg, and its neighboring countries eye the aftermath like starving vultures, plotting the Kingdom’s downfall. The ensuing conflict will shape the face of the continent for centuries to come...but Noor doesn’t have a clue about any of that! Having freshly arrived at the royal capital after over a decade of rigorous, isolated training at his mountain home, he’s dead set on achieving his childhood dream of becoming an adventurer, even if the only skills he possesses are useless ones. Sure, he can [Parry] thousands of swords in the span of a single breath, but everybody knows you need more than that if you want to be an adventurer! Our hero’s road to making his dream come true will be long(?) and arduous(?)—but if there’s one thing Noor’s not afraid of, it’s some good ol’ fashioned hard work!
