
I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is getting a TV anime special, and the stage event at AnimeJapan 2025 announced that it's currently in production. The news comes a year-and-a-half after the anime sequel was announced, and to get fans of the isekai anime series hyped, an epic first trailer and teaser visual revealed, but a release date hasn't been announced yet.
The first season of TV anime adaptation aired from April to June 2023, and today's announcement confirmed that the main members: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Yuya), Akari Kito (Kaori) and Kaori Maeda (Lexia) are returning for the TV anime special. Kadokawa uploaded the new trailer, which you can watch below:

Studio Millepensee is in charge of the upcoming TV special's animation, and Shin Itagaki (So I'm a Spider, So What?) returns to direct alongside character designer Hiromi Kimura. There is still no update on whether the series will continue with a second season; it's likely that we'll find out after the TV anime special is released.

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is based on the isekai fantasy light novel series of the same title, shortened to Iseleve (いせれべ, Iserebe), written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima. The series started as a web novel in the Kakuyomu website in March 2017, and Fujimi Shobo later acquired it, and published the series in December 2018 under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.
It also received a manga adaptation illustrated by Kazuomi Minatogawa, and it has been serialized on ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web website since December 2019. As of July 2024, six tankōbon volumes as of July 2024 have been published.

All his life, Yuuya has been bullied at school and neglected by his parents. After moving into his late grandfather’s home, he discovers a strange door that seems to be calling out to him.
