Haigakura Reveals Main Trailer and Additional Cast

This is the fifth cast announcement for the upcoming Haigakura TV anime series.

The main trailer for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Haigakura has been released, along with the announcement of five additional voice cast members joining the series. The opening theme song for the anime is titled Chaser by MADKID, and you can check out the preview of it in the new trailer. The ending theme song will be Phoenix by Hikaru Makishima. The Haigakura anime is set to release this October. Watch the explosive trailer for Haigakura anime in the video below, but note that it's not available to view in some countries.

The additional voice cast includes:

  • Junko Takeuchi as Ichiyo (child)

  • Akira Sasanuma as Shungei

  • Tatsumaru Tachibana as Gaishi

  • Atsushi Tamaru as Gas Mask

  • Kazutomi Yamamoto as Usagi Kamen


They will be joining the main cast that includes:

  • Takeo Otsuka as Ichiyou

  • Kaito Ishikawa as Tenkou

  • Lynn as Hakushurin

  •  Hiro Shimono as Ransaiwa

  • Satoshi Hino as Sontou

Studio Typhoon Graphics is animating the series, with Junichi Yamamoto (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion) as the director, Hisanori Kobayashi (Blue Archive the Animation Episode 3 director) as the assistant director,  (The Reason Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion co-scriptwriter) as the series composer and co-script writer, Masaki Sato (Record of Ragnarok) as the character designer, and Yuhki Kurihara (Blue Orchestra co-composer) as the music composer.


What is Haigakura about?

Haigakura is based on the Ichijinsha-published manga of the same title by Shinobu Takayama, launched in 2008 and is currently serialized on the Comic Zero Sum WARD magazine from January 2008 to May 2015, then it was was transferred to Zero-Sum Online in September 2015, where it's currently ongoing. As of August 2023, the manga has 16 tankoubon volumes.

He wants to recapture the gods so he could return to the peaceful life he had before.
