Grand Theft Auto fans think they may have discovered a hidden message in the latest trailer for Grand Theft Auto Online. Rockstar Games recently revealed what could be a teaser for the release date of the second GTA 6 trailer, but it could be just another GTA Online teaser. After all, it's been almost 8 months since Rockstar released the first GTA 6 trailer that gave fans their first look at massive Florida-inspired state of Leonida and its modern day Vice City (Miami), and the developer is no stranger to Easter eggs.
Rockstar Games recently launched the Pizza Delivery update for the insanely popular online mode of Grand Theft Auto V, and as you can see in the clip embedded below, the video features the new update that will let players deliver pizza throughout Los Santos. "Deliver piping hot pizza pies with the new Pegassi Pizza Boy scooter in GTA Online," a post from the developer reads, advertising the GTA Online event.
In the clip, viewers can momentarily see the showcased scooter's license plate. The upper-right corner of the plate shows the letters "OCT" while number "4" can be seen in the word "PIZZ4". Combine those together and you get "OCT 4" - October 4. Of course, it didn't take long for eagle-eyed fans to notice this, so it's not surprising that the clip led to speculation that Rockstar is planning something big for October 4, 2024. While some fans believe that this is the developer's way of revealing the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI, it's more likely that October 4 is when they will release the second trailer for the highly-anticipated game.
Rockstar is no stranger to unsuspecting teasers and Easter eggs for its upcoming projects, so it's not all that surprising to see enthusiastic fans speculating about combinations of numbers and letters in videos and screenshots shared by the company. Speculation is seemingly at an all-time high now despite Rockstar not sharing any official information in recent months, but with GTA 6 already confirmed to launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in October 2025, we can expect official updates in the next few months.
Is GTA 6 Trailer 2 coming this October?
Sadly, there's no confirmation whatsoever that this combination of letters and numbers in the pizza delivery clip actually means that October 4 is the release date of the second trailer for GTA 6. Of course, there's a bunch of fan theories on social media, with some claiming that this could be the exact release date of the game in October 2025, while others call the clip a "very obvious hint". Still, we'll have to treat this as pure speculation until we get an official confirmation from Rockstar Games.
Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in development for PS5 and Xbox Series X; a PC version of the game will likely launch at a later date, but Rockstar hasn't officially announced plans for it.
