A recent Grand Theft Auto VI report has shared word about when the second GTA 6 trailer will come out and a narrowed release window. The answer to the former, is soon, while the answer to the former is a little later than what some Grand Theft Auto gamers are expecting. The latest report comes from leaker Detective Seeds, an X account who has built a following for his leaks and report. Despite his solid track record, gamers shouldn't take his word as official.
According to Detective Seeds, the second GTA 6 trailer is scheduled to launch sometime at the end of May 2025. The leaker didn't provide an exact date, but with the game currently aiming for a Fall 2025 release, this timing sounds reasonable as we can expect waves of promotions for GTA 6 to come months before its highly-anticipated console release.
As for the narrowed release window, the leaker claims that GTA 6's release date is not in October 2025, like what many are speculating. Where Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in October 2018, and Grand Theft Auto V was released in September 2013, GTA 6 is reportedly launching in November 2025. The report did not specify when exactly in November the game will be released.
As previously noted, everything that the leaker claimed about GTA 6 should be taken with a grain of salt. At the time of this writing, Rockstar Games hasn't officially revealed when the second trailer will be released, and an exact release date for GTA 6 hasn't been announced yet, so we can treat the leaker's report as rumor for now.
GTA 6 Trailer 2 might arrive this Summer
There's always a chance that fans would have to wait longer for GTA 6 Trailer #2. “With Mafia getting a trailer in May and release in August, if GTA VI releases in October, we may not see trailer two until July," wrote Redditor Sysody.
While not developed by Rockstar Games, Mafia: The Old Country is still owned by Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive. If GTA 6 is released in October or November 2025, and if it follows the same marketing pattern, this means it's likely that we won't get an official update from Rockstar until July or August 2025.
It's possible that it's scheduled this way to avoid the marketing of two games from clashing with each other. However, some users disagreed with the speculation, saying that GTA 6 is too big of a game to worry about clashing with other titles.
“Imagine telling everyone back in October - December that we’d likely have to wait until Summer 2025 to hear more news lol,” joked one user.
