It's been almost four months since Rockstar Games released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, and fans of the highly-anticipated game have been waiting for more updates. Unfortunately, we haven't heard from Rockstar since the trailer reveal back in December, but a leaked new logo of the company may have revealed a new Banshee design that could potentially be featured in GTA 6. For those who are unfamiliar, the Banshee is a recurring sports car that debuted in Grand Theft Auto III and bene in every GTA game since. It's considered to be more iconic than many real sports cards, and the GTA community are expecting it to return in GTA 6, and the logo may have revealed its minor redesign.
The new Rockstar Games logo was leaked via the files of a recent GTA Online update, and it's loaded with references to games and series the company has shipped over the years, beyond just Grand Theft Auto. If you look at the bottom right corner of the logo, you can see that there's a Banshee, but this is unlike any versions we've seen before. While this could be a part of an upcoming GTA Online update, this one seems unlikely.
Although there's a chance that this could mean nothing, it shouldn't surprise fans if this is an actual tease considering that Rockstar has put out teasers like this before. As X user @that1detectiv3 points out, Rockstar notably featured the Miami-dade helicopter in an official 2022 holiday art before it was revealed that Vice City (Rockstar's fictional take on Miami) of its Florida-inspired state, Leonida would be the main setting of GTA 6.
Obviously, this is considered speculation for now, so let's take everything here with a grain of salt. Hopefully, the second trailer for GTA 6 will officially reveal its version of the Banshee and other vehicles expected to be in the game.
X user @COMBATIVE1984 also shared a breakdown of more references spotted in the leaked logo:
When is GTA 6 Trailer 2 possibly coming out?
According to a reliable source who goes by @GTAVI_Countdown on X, the second GTA 6 trailer could be released in May 2024. Since this timeline coincides with the next earnings call of Take-Two Interactive (the parent company of Rockstar Games), it could be a well-coordinated strategy from the company. However, this information should be treated as a rumor as Rockstar hasn't officially announced when the second trailer for GTA 6 will launch.
GTA 6 is currently in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and it's scheduled to launch sometime in 2025.
