Only six months after its return to Xbox Game Pass, GTA 5 is again ready to leave soon. 2023’s Game Pass had quite a powerful lineup with many popular games such as Far Cry 6, Remnant: From the Ashes, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Against the Storm. Unfortunately, 2024 is starting off by removing some pretty big games from Microsoft’s subscription service, such as GTA 5, Persona 3 Portable, and Persona 4 Golden.
These games are set to leave the Game Pass in two weeks, i.e., January 15, 2024. This means that you’ll have until that time to run through those exciting role-playing games quickly. GTA 5 will be completing its third tour on Xbox Game Pass this month since Rockstar’s open-world game was re-introduced to Game Pass in July 2023. Before that, GTA 5 became available on Xbox Game Pass from April to August 2021 and before that, from January to May 2020.
Similar to the first two times, GTA 5 is only available to Xbox Series X and Xbox One subscribers (both versions of the game are available), even though players can cloud-stream it to a PC or mobile phone. On the other hand, Persona 4 Golden and Person 3 Portable have been on the service for nearly a year. Atlus added those games to Game Pass in January 2023.
Person 3 Reload is set to be added through Game Pass in February once the remake comes out on Windows PC, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. On the other hand, Xbox Game Pass’ biggest competitor, PlayStation Plus Extra, recently added GTA 5 to its list in December. Grand Theft Auto 5 is present on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 through PS Plus Extra, PlayStation’s Plus service.
How much do Xbox and PC subscriptions cost?
Players can buy Xbox Game Pass for $10.99 a month, whereas PC Game Pass can be purchased for $9.99 a month. PC Game Pass consists of EA Play access, which in turn offers 70 more games on PC. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, on the other hand, costs $16.99 a month and gives subscribers access to pretty much everything.
This includes the PC Game Pass and Xbox Pass libraries, EA Play both console and PC, and access to online multiplayer. Last but not least, Xbox Game Pass Core costs around $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
