A new trailer for the anime adaptation of Hiroaki Nagashima's Goodbye, Dragon Life fantasy light novel series has been released, along with a preview of the ending theme song. Two new voice cast members have also been announced. The TV anime is set to premiere in Japan in October 2024.
The new trailer for Goodbye, Dragon Life features the anime's ending theme song Kimi to Mita Keshiki by EverdreaM. The opening theme song is titled Together Forever by LUN8. The trailer highlights the fantasy story centered on the protagonist who used to be the strongest dragon but was reborn as a human named Dolan after being slain by a human hero. The newly-announced two voice cast members joining are Misato Matsuoka as Leticia and Eriko Matsui as Malida.

Kenichi Nishida (PAPUWA) is directing Goodbye, Dragon Life anime at SynergySP and Vega Entertainment animation studios. Naokatsu Tsuda (Tokyo 24th Ward) is the series composer, Nozomi Nawashige is the main character designer, and Saiki Tatsuhiko and Hanae Nakamura are the music composers.
What is Goodbye, Dragon Life about?
Goodbye, Dragon Life anime is based on the light novel series of the same title (Japanese: Sayonara Ryūsei, Konnichiwa Jinsei) written by Hiroaki Nagashima and illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru. Twenty-four volumes have been published by AlphaPolis since April 2015. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by Kurono, and it has been serialized online via AlphaPolis' manga website since December 2015 and has released twelve volumes.
Alpha Manga, which published the manga digitally in English, shared the following plot description for Goodbye, Dragon Life:
After living a long life as the strongest and oldest dragon, he is slain by a human hero. He awakes to find himself reborn as a human, Dolan, in a remote village. He works hard as a farmer and sometimes hunts for food. His life is simple in this small village, but he is surrounded by love. He soon finds happiness he’d never experienced in his life as a dragon. However, dangerous monsters are lurking around his village lately and he goes to the woods to investigate when he finds out an army of monsters are heading his way…
