Goblin Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 Preview Teases Massive Attack by a Spell-Casting Goblin Shaman

Goblin Slayer Season 2 is scheduled to release its eighth episode on Friday, November 23, and the official website of the anime has revealed new preview stills and an official synopsis that tease a massive attack by a goblin shaman and his army of goblins. It looks like the Goblin Slayer and his friends will be facing a huge problem as the goblin shaman can cast a spell that could ruin the party's coordination.

The official synopsis of Goblin Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 reads:

Goblin Slayer and his friends search for the top of the ruins that dammed the river. Eventually, they reached the top floor, where a large number of goblins led by a goblin shaman were waiting for them. The party maintains coordination against a large army and gains the upper hand in battle, but the situation is reversed by a spell cast by a goblin shaman, and the party is in danger of being wiped out.

What is Goblin Slayer about?

The Goblin Slayer (Japanese: Goburin Sureiyā) anime is based on the light novel series written by Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru. The series also received a manga adaptation by Kousuke Kurose, and it's still ongoing. White Fox animated the first season of the anime, which aired in Fall 2018 anime season, and a sequel movie titled Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown was released in 2020.

Yen Press, the publisher of the English version of the Goblin Slayer light novel and manga series shared a plot description for the series:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress.
