505 Games, the publisher of Ghostrunner 2, recently announced the release date for its soon-to-release first-person action-adventure game. 505 Games revealed back in 2021 that it was planning on publishing a sequel to the popular Ghostrunner game. However, it was during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase event that the very first trailer for Ghostrunner 2 was finally revealed, as well as a 2023 release window.
Since then, fans have been waiting for the developers to announce the official release date for Ghostrunner 2, and now we finally know. 505 Games revealed in a post on their Twitter page that the game will release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 26, 2023. The publishers also acknowledged the fact that this news had already been leaked from somewhere, which is why they decided to announce the game’s release date themselves.
Unfortunately, 505 only shared an image of Ghostrunner 2’s concept art and did not share any gameplay trailers, more details, or story trailers alongside this information. Nonetheless, the publishers will start revealing more information regarding the game soon, giving fans a closer look at it, especially with Gamescon coming up. The Story Of Ghostrunner 2
The story of this epic action-adventure game takes players to a wide range of exciting locations, aside from just Dharma Tower. A year after the events of Ghostrunner took place, the people of Dharma Tower are reconstructing. Since the Keymaster is now dead, a power vacuum has been built with even more dangerous and terrifying enemies coming up in the game for you to battle against. “ Ghostrunner 2 is the highly anticipated hardcore FPP slasher set one year after the events of Ghostrunner . Blood will run in this post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future that takes place after the fall of the Keymaster, a tyrant who ruled over Dharma Tower, the last refuge of humanity.”
Ghostrunner 2 is also set to feature a new dialogue system in the game, which will allow players to immerse themselves deeper into the world. Not only this, but gamers can also interact with NPCs that belong to the Climbers factions. Furthermore, Jack will also have the ability to speak in-between missions at a central hub, which sounds pretty cool. We can’t wait to explore these features ourselves once the game releases!
