The official website and accounts of the anime adaptation of Michiro Ueyama's From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! manga series have released a new trailer. The video reveals new footages from the upcoming comedy isekai anime and previews the opening theme song, Choose!!!, performed by Cidergirl. The update also confirmed the anime's January 9, 2025 premiere date, and announced two additional cast members.

Studio Ajia-do is producing the animation of From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!, with Tetsuya Takeuchi as director, and Shingo Irie (AFTERLOST) as the series composer. Haruka Matsunae (Ascendance of a Bookworm Seasdon 3) is in charge of the character designs while Natsumi Tabuchi (I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss), Tsugumi Tanaka, Kaho Sawada, Misaki Tsuchida, and Reiko Abe worked on the anime's music.

From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! anime is based on the comedy isekai manga (Japanese: Akuyaku Reijō Tensei Oji-san, lit. 'The Middle-Aged Man that Reincarnated as a Villainess') series written and illustrated by Michiro Ueyama. The series has been serialized in Shōnen Gahōsha's Young King Ours GH since March 2020. As of August 2024, its chapters have been collected in seven tankōbon volumes.

After a traffic accident, 52-year-old civil servant Kenzaburou Tondabayashi awakens to find he's become Grace Auvergne, a duke's daughter, and more importantly the villainess of an otome game. Not wanting to get in the way of the happy endings of the young characters around him, Grace sets out to play the role of the villain, but whether it's due to Kenzaburou's memories of being an affectionate parent getting in the way or not being able to remember those pesky foreign names properly, it ends up being a lot harder than it looks…
