A manga character will make its way to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime. In Episode 11, titled Winter in Northern Countries, Frieren and her party members, Fern and Stark, will start their new journey to the north, where they’re about to meet Kraft. As a new anime character, he will be voiced by Takehito Koyasu.
The anime’s official website has released the details for this new anime character and its character design. Like Frieren, Kraft is an elf who’s even older than her. He, too, is a monk and former warrior. As a kind man, he shares his cabin with Frieren and her friends the entire winter to protect themselves from the cold.
And as Frieren’s senior, he shares some words of wisdom and advice with his fellow elf. He even offers to honor her in the Goddess’ stead, even if she doesn’t believe it.
Kraft also has some similarities with Frieren. As a former warrior, he once saved a village in the past and was a staunch believer of justice. However, he eventually decided to leave this profession and be a Monk to serve the Goddess, though he wished no one could forget what he did for others.

Though how many episodes Kraft will appear in the series remains to be seen, he’s about to live with Frieren, Fern, and Stark for nearly half a year as the Northern Lands’ long winter continues. But after that, they will go their separate ways.
