After traveling to the village of swords and seeing Stark’s brother, Stoltz, in flashback scenes, the upcoming Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 13 will feature another relative this time. The anime has dropped the new preview stills for the next episode, featuring Heiter’s younger brother, Zain. As Frieren, Stark, and Fern’s adventure continues, they’re about to meet Zain this time.

The preview begins with a shot of Zain, who uncannily looks like his brother Heiter, and Frieren, as they look at something. The next still hints at another flashback as Frieren is seen with her original Hero Party, composed of Eisen, Himmel, and Heiter, as the three watch the mage before them.

Frieren, Fern, and Stark are then all together inside the church. Fern and Stark seem shocked in another preview. For the last still, a younger Zain is revealed, hinting at a revelation of his backstory.

Titled Aversion to One’s Own Kind, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 13 will introduce Zain, Heiter’s younger brother, to the anime-only fans. Frieren, Stark, and Fern will meet him at a church in the village of Alto Forest in the northern countries, where the three continue their journey after visiting the sword village.
