The wait is over, and the Straw Hat Pirates are officially sailing into Battle Royale. Epic Games has published the first full trailer for Treasure Hunters, Fortnite's pirate mini-season, giving players their first real look at the One Piece collaboration in action.
The trailer puts Monkey D. Luffy front and center alongside his crew, and it confirms the season's big swing right away. The Going Merry, the Straw Hats' first ship, replaces the Battle Bus, carrying players over an island shaped like a skull before they drop into its new named locations.
Epic could have gone full anime with the map's look, but it did not. Despite the season being built around an anime collaboration, the island is not cel-shaded, keeping Fortnite's usual style while the pirate theme takes over the landscape.

Once players land, the One Piece items start showing up. The trailer features Luffy's stretching rubber arms, meaning the Gum-Gum Pistol ability will be available in-game, alongside Usopp's slingshot.
Roronoa Zoro's three-sword attack also appears, and it will most likely arrive as a Mythic ability. One of Nami's tangerines shows up as well, apparently as a healing item, though Epic has not confirmed exactly how it works.
The trailer and the earlier teasers together confirm a long character list for the season. Luffy, Zoro, Nami and Usopp lead the Straw Hat side, joined by Portgas D. Ace and Buggy, while Kasane Teto, Hatsune Miku, A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert round out the season's wider lineup.
Sanji is the one name to watch. The Straw Hats' cook has not been officially confirmed, but his blonde hair has been spotted in background shots of the trailer, in a golden car and aboard a boat, leading to speculation that he could be the Battle Pass's bonus skin.
What Epic still has not said is how any of these characters will actually be sold. It remains unknown which skins belong to the Battle Pass, the Festival Pass, the November Fortnite Crew Pack or the Item Shop.
Treasure Hunters begins on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with update v43.00, alongside a new season of Fortnite Festival. The mini-season is expected to run for about a month as the final stretch of Chapter 7 before Chapter 8 arrives.
The collaboration itself was first confirmed on October 24, when a glitch moment in-game played a short teaser of the Going Merry sailing out of the fog. That teaser also settled the question of which version of One Piece Epic is using — the anime, not the live-action series.
