The Island in Fortnite Battle Royale has been going through some changes, and many players believe it is connected to the upcoming Chapter 4 Season 3 end-of-season event. Chapter 4 Season 3’s end is very close, and fans have already started wondering what the upcoming season will have in store for Fortnite’s storyline. Fortnite players had to roam around the battle royale island to search for mysterious Prisms and bring them to Trace, so they could complete their hidden quests and earn some seasonal XP. This particular point made it crystal clear that the place holds great importance, despite being unknown for quite some time.
However, as the upcoming Fortnite season quickly comes closer, it looks like The Apparatus’ purpose might become clear soon. Recently, the battle royale players observed that The Apparatus is not as it used to be since it began to cast a pink beam directly into the sky.
Currently, Fortnite players have no idea what this might mean for the game’s storyline, but it might be somewhat similar to the Rift Gate incident, which took place in Chapter 4 Season 1’s end. The gigantic machine is pointing the pink laser beam into the sky, so there’s a chance it’s summoning brand-new characters that will join everyone on the island. If not this, then it could also introduce something much bigger, leading to an epic end-of-season event.
Few gamers believe that Chapter 4 Season 3 won’t bring a live event into the game. In the past, season renewal live events were quite common in the battle royale game, but now they only take place once the chapter nears its end and a new map is about to be launched.
