The official website and accounts of the upcoming anime adaptation of Fermat no Ryori (Fermat’s Cuisine or Fermat’s Kitchen) have released the first trailer and key visual. It was also confirmed that the upcoming cooking TV anime series is scheduled to premiere in July 2025, and will broadcast in Japan on Saturdays on the TV Asahi Network as part of the “IMAnimation” programming block.
The first trailer highlights how the math prodigy Gaku Kitada was recruited by Kai Asakura, an ambitious chef. The premise kind of reminds me of how Trillion Game's story started as we get to see a genius do exceptionally well in an industry he didn't intend to find success in. It would be exciting to see how Gaku will use his math knowledge to create mind-blowing dishes.
The previously-announced main voice cast includes: Taito Ban as Kai Asakura, and Ryosuke Tomita as Gaku Kitada. You can see both characters in the key visual for Fermat no Ryori anime below:
Additional details for the upcoming anime's cast, staff, and animation studio have yet to be announced, so stay tuned for more details as we get closer to Fermat no Ryori's Summer 2025 release.
