TYPE-MOON GAMES has released a new character trailer for Fate/EXTRA Record that introduces ALICE, the twin Masters voiced by Ai Nonaka. The video is the latest in the remake's series of character introduction trailers.
The trailer presents the two girls as a single Master team competing in the Moon Holy Grail War. They speak as if they have stepped out of a fairy tale, and even in a war where the participants risk their lives, they see their opponents as mere playmates. Billed as the first twin Masters, the pair remain shrouded in mystery.

The ALICE video follows the earlier character trailers in the series, including one introducing the SHINJI faction on October 22. The introductions are steadily filling out the roster of Masters the player will face in the war.
What is Fate/EXTRA Record about?
Fate/EXTRA Record is a remake of Fate/EXTRA, the dungeon exploration RPG first released for the PlayStation Portable in 2010. The remake is developed by Meteorise with planning by TYPE-MOON and is published by Aniplex, with Kinoko Nasu supervising the scenario, original character concepts by Takashi Takeuchi and character design by Arco Wada.
Players take the role of Hakuno Kishinami, an amnesiac who wakes up inside SE.RA.PH, a digital world created by the Moon Cell Automaton, a supercomputer hidden on the moon. The war plays out around Tsukumihara Academy, a school inside the virtual environment, where the combatants live between battles. There, 128 Masters battle in the Moon Holy Grail War, each forming a contract with a Servant — choosing between Saber, Archer or Caster — for a chance to claim the wish-granting Holy Grail. The war runs in weekly rounds, and losing a match means deletion.
The remake revises and expands the original story while modernizing its presentation, and it replaces the old combat with a new card-based battle system built around deck-building strategy. The game features Japanese voice acting with subtitles in nine languages, including English, French, German, Spanish and Korean.
The remake has taken a long road to release since it was first announced in July 2020 for the original game's 10th anniversary. It was previously set for 2025 and then spring 2026 before a delay and a change of publisher pushed it back once more. The project originally had Bandai Namco Entertainment as its publisher before Aniplex took over the role.
Fate/EXTRA Record launches worldwide on January 28, 2027, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Physical editions are available for pre-order now, and digital pre-orders will open on each platform at a later date.
