Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest is set to premiere in the Winter 2025 anime season!

The official website of the TV anime adaptation of Ibarakino and Yu Hitaki's Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest (Fugūshoku [Kanteishi] ga Jitsu wa Saikyō Datta - Naraku de Kitaeta Saikyō no [Shingan] de Musō Suru) light novel series has revealed the first teaser trailer, key visual, additional cast, and main staff. It was also confirmed that the adventure fantasy anime will premiere on January 9, 2025.

The trailer introduces protagonist Ein (voiced by Kikunosuke Toya), whose underwhelming job as an "Appraiser" has made him look weak, but it looks like he will prove himself "the strongest" even though he may not look like a hero in others' eyes. We also get our first animated look at the blond-haired elf, Yuri (voiced by Hikaru Tono).   • Minami Tsuda as Kurohime

  • Kana Ichinose as Alice

  • Aimi as Akabane

They will join the rest of the confirmed voice cast for the anime that includes:

  • Kikunosuke Toya as Ein

  • Hikaru Tono as Yuri

  • Sayumi Suzushiro as Ursula

  • Yu Serizawa as Pina

Studio Okuruto Noboru is producing the animation of Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class anime, with Kenta Ōnishi (The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter, Marine Shukkō!!) as director, and Tatsuya Sasaki (Spy Classroom, Akiba Maid War episode director) as the assistant director. Touko Machida (The IDOLM@STER, Battle Game in 5 Seconds) is in charge of the series composition while Sayuri Sakimoto (My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered) is working on the character designs. Daisuke Negishi (Zenryoku Usagi, Stardust Telepath) is in charge of the art direction, and Nasa Okamura (Lycoris Recoil) is working as the compositing director of photography.

Satoshi Hōno (Twilight Out of Focus) and Kaori Nakano (Twilight Out of Focus) are composing the anime's music, while Bit Groove Promotion is in charge of the sound production, with Nozomi Nakatani (Too Cute Crisis) as the sound director

What is Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class about?

Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest anime is based on the light novel series written by Ibarakino and illustrated by Yu Hitaki. The fantasy series, which was serialized online from December 2019 to January 2022 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō, was later acquired by Kodansha, who have published three volumes under their Kodansha Ranobe Books imprint since October 2020.

A manga adaptation for Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest illustrated by Morohoshi Fuji has been serialized online via Kodansha's Magazine Pocket website since July 2020 and twelve tankōbon volumes have been released since then. Kodansha USA, who licensed the manga digitally in North America, shared a plot description for the series:

In a fantasy world where “jobs” are god-given from birth, heroes are born, not made…and Ein’s job of “Appraiser” has put him about as far from the “hero” pedestal as possible. Used, abused, and eventually abandoned by his fellow adventurers, Ein decides it just isn’t worth going on… Lucky for Ein, though, the end may just be the beginning…and a new lease on life. Turns out, his “worthless” job may just be the key to becoming a hero after all…
