Etoroji Shiono's dark fantasy manga series, Übel Blatt, is officially getting a television anime adaptation, the animation studio Pony Canyon confirmed over the weekend. Along this announcement, a teaser visual was revealed on the anime's newly-launched official website and X (formerly Twitter). However, they haven't revealed any key details about the upcoming anime's production, premiere date, voice cast, and staff.
Nevertheless, an illustration was revealed, which features the protagonist, Köinzel. In the manga, he is described as the "Hero of the Frontier" for slaying the leaders of the Black Wing Army. As you can see in the teaser visual shows his fierce look as he wields his blade.

The Übel Blatt manga series has been serialized in Square Enix's manga magazine Young Gungan from December 2004 to 2009, and then in the Monthly Big Gangan from 2011 to 2019. More recently, a sequel manga, titled Übel Blatt II: The Knights of the Deceased King, has been serialized in the Monthly Big Gangan.
