Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Reveals Full Roster, Including Iconic Movie Characters

Bandai Namco has revealed full roster of playable characters for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO today during the fighting game's pre-launch announcement. In a new video, producer Jun Furutani shared an overview of game modes and closes out the full roster of playable characters with many additions. It all begins with a look at single-player mode Episode Battle, which lets players play from the point of view of eight different characters —Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo Gohan, Future Trunks, Jiren, Frieza, and Goku Black—as they battle through the shonen anime's most iconic fights.

The video also shows Custom Battle, which lets players create their own original scenarios and then sharing and playing them with others. Based on what the video showed, it looks like players will have a lot of customization options for this mode.

"In the Bonus Battles section of the Custom Battle mode, we have prepared over 30 battles with various original situations and victory conditions," Furutani explained. "Some of these battles include special gimmicks and are highly challenging, so if you are confident in your skills, please give them a try."

Following that, Furutani presents the character trailer, revealing Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO's entire roster, including iconic ones from Dragon Ball films. You can check the list of characters from those films below:

It's exciting to see a mix of characters from most eras of the Dragon Ball franchise, including the participants of Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power and characters from Dragon Ball Z's fan-favorite sagas in the mix. There's also a good amount of fusion forms and insanely powerful transformations in Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, but what's the point of using more base forms when you can choose higher level ones?

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is scheduled to release for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 11, 2024. The game, developed Spike Chunsoft , is rated T for Teen.
