Bandai Namco has revealed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2's next DLC chapter as the "Future Saga", and it's set to introduce new Ultra Supervillain versions of Super Saiyan Rose for Goku Black and Super Saiyan God for Vegeta. Goku and Vegeta's new Ultra Supervillain forms were revealed in a new trailer by Bandai Namco that teased what the next Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is going to be about. The "Future Saga" will be a four-part storyline that will launch in Spring 2024, and features Fu discovering the new Ultra Supervillain power. You can watch the teaser trailer for Future Saga below:
The Future Saga trailer shows the two key characters getting Ultra Supervillain forms: Goku Black and Vegeta. The first fighter to get the transformation is Goku Black, and is featured in his Super Saiyan God Rose form with a strange purple tint and his power level has clearly increased. Vegeta's transformation is more interesting as the variant of his Super Saiyan God form looks remarkably similar to the Ultra Ego form from the Dragon Ball Super manga series.
The two fighters are seen battling each other in the trailer, drawing parallels to intense battle in Dragon Ball Z's Buu Saga. The Ultra Supervillain form was created by Fu with the help from his mother. By embedding a strange pink shard in Vegeta, the villain is able to power-up the Saiyan. It's still unclear how the two villains will use this corrupt power, but we can expect Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to show what their Supervillain forms are capable of.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 also teased a third new playable character
The trailer only confirmed the new forms of Goku Black and Vegeta for the DLC, but it looks like another character will be getting the insane power-up. An update roadmap that was shared along with the trailer showed that one more fighter is going to be added in the DLC, but fans can only guess who that could be for now. Stay tuned for more information as Bandai Namco already confirmed that the Future Saga will include four parts.
The new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC is scheduled to launch for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 24, 2024.
