Dr. Stone: Science Future, the fourth and final season of sci-fi adventure anime, is coming next year and it's confirmed to air over three cours (quarters of a year). Today, TOHO Animation has released a "super teaser" and revealed that the first cour will begin broadcasting in January 2025. The trailer looks back at the adventures of Chisora 'Senku' Ishigami and his friends with a tiny bit of new footage at the end. In the final season, the team will set their sights on the moon, where they discover that the mastermind behind the petrification of the human race. What is Dr. Stone about?
Dr. Stone TV anime is based on the sci-fi adventure manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by South Korean artist Boichi. The series was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2017 to March 2022, with its chapters compiled in 27 tankōbon volumes.
The first season of the Dr. Stone anime premiered in 2019; Season 2 premiered in 2021, and Season 3 in 2023. Dr. Stone: Science Future was officially announced in December 2023, and at Anime Expo 2024, Crunchyroll announced that it will stream the series on the platform next year.
